Define Video
by Randy Davis on Dec.18, 2008, under Charlotte Video Production
I am amazed what “video production” companies call “video”. Many times, we have been called-in after a flash designer (or some other graphical medium technician) has promised a video production and never shot the first frame of film/video tape. There is a difference between animation and video. Animation is a wonderful tool used in conjunction with video to illustrate product development or processes, but it is NOT video production.
Video production encompasses film/video shot onsite, music, animated graphics, sound effects, titles screens, and then rendered into many different application formats. By the way, never pay for a video and only get one format. Make sure the company that you contract supplies you with a website version, a DVD version, a CD version, and even a mobile version. Video production is NOT flash animation.
